The Bebout Road and East McMurray Road Intersection Improvement Project is located in Peters Township, Washington County. This project includes widening of Route 1002 (East McMurray Road) to include northbound and southbound left-turn lanes with a minor alignment shift and widening of Route 1019 (Bebout Road) to include a westbound right-turn lane. Local road Bittersweet Circle will be slightly realigned to the east. ADA compliant crosswalks will be provided across all legs of the proposed intersection. The purpose of the project is to improve mobility and identified congestion at the intersection.

Public Meeting

An in-person public meeting was held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Peters Township Municipal Building. The proposed construction schedule, detour routes and other details were displayed. Representatives from PennDOT and the project team answered questions and took comments regarding the project.  

Virtual Plans Display

The virtual plans display was held from Wednesday, June 21, 2023 through Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Virtual Public Meeting

A live virtual public meeting was held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The meeting included a short presentation to introduce the project, plus an opportunity for participants to directly share their concerns and questions via moderated chat discussions with the project team.
